physics of sound
In their Physics class, the 9th grade students have been learning about Sound waves. Their Physics teacher, Mr. Schwartz, has challenged his students to display their knowledge of sound waves by creating an instrument and a poster explaining the physics of that specific instrument. The students will be graded by the aesthetics of their instrument, how well it sounds, their poster on sound waves and the physics behind their instrument. Many of our students constructed ukuleles from cigar boxes and scraps of wood. While most students created ukuleles, other students made drums, wind chimes and xylophones.
Between each one-act play, students will play their instruments in different classes before an audience.
